Hellbelly Burger

Ingredients

1-2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)
600-800g turkey mince (use another type of mince if you're not keen on Turkey)
2 x spring onions (finely sliced)
2 tablespoons fresh coriander (finely chopped)
1 medium/large egg
1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper
1/2 teaspoon flaked sea salt (1/4 teaspoon normal table salt if you can’t get flaked sea salt)
1 teaspoon chilli flakes
1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs
1 teaspoon garlic puree
1/2 teaspoon sugar
40-100g breadcrumbs (or 2 slices of bread left to go stale then blitzed in a food processor)
2-4 teaspoons Twisted 7 Hellbelly sauce


Method:

  1. Mix all of the above ingredients (except the olive oil) in a large bowl until combined
  2. Shape the mix into 4-6 burger shaped patties (depending on what size you like your burgers)
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and fry the burgers until golden brown, flip them over and continue to fry until golden brown on both sides. You can test the burgers are fully cooked by making a cut in the centre (thickest part) opening it up slightly to make sure they are cooked through
  4. Serve in a toasted burger bun or ciabatta with salad and lashings of your favourite Twisted 7 Sauce!
